SUNDAY SCHOOL INFORMATION

We have important and exciting news about Sunday school for the new 2006-07 year!! Important dates to remember –

Curriculim: we are using a new Sunday school curriculum for all learners this year, age 3 through high school.  It is the Growing in Christ curriculum from Concordia Publishing House.  This is a newly developed program with many attractive features for both the students and the teachers.  One of the attractive features of this curriculum is that it is based on the Common Lectionary, which is the 3-year sequence of readings from the Bible that we use in our Sunday services.  This means that your learners will be often be studying Bible stories related to the readings that you hear during the services, especially when the stories come from the New Testament.

Puppet Ministry: we plan to continue our puppet ministry within the Sunday school and expect to introduce some Christian computer software to assist in the learning of the Bible stories.  Planning for the Christmas pageant is already in our minds, too.  Many skilled hands worked over the summer to create new costumes for older children and plans are afoot to make other improvements as well!!

We are excited about Christian education for the coming year – please help and encourage your children and youth members be a part of it.  If you would like to be part of the fun or have any questions, please contact one of us.

St. Paul's has a thriving Sunday church school program designed to meet the spiritual needs of all people ages 3 to 103. It is the goal of the program to help the students learn more about their faith, develop the values SundaySchoolassociated with being a good Christian, and form friendships that support Christian beliefs.

Sunday School classes are divided into age appropriate groups. The classes are between services, starting at 9:45 a.m. and running until 10:45 a.m. All learners are invited to meet in the Dorcas Room around 9:30 for a light snack and fellowship before classes begin.

We have very dedicated Sunday School class leaders who use a mixture of reading, bible study, crafts, videos, music, and other Christian-based and engaging materials.

A Christian education program helps us to learn more about our faith and develop skills and knowledge that will guide us through our lives.

ALL ARE WELCOME!!
